(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Western Equestrian team travels to Brookings, S.D. this Saturday for the Regional competition. Golden Eagle Western Coach Nicky Overgaard is excited going into this weekend’s show.
Ten riders qualified for the Regional competition. The Golden Eagles are hoping to qualify several riders for the semifinals hosted by West Texas A & M University in Canyon, Texas on Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30. The National Show will be held in Los Angeles, Cal. May 8-11.
“We have had several intense practice sessions these past two weeks, “ says Golden Eagle Western Coach Nicky Overgaard. “We are very confident in our abilities to ride the patterns well in the upcoming Regional competition, which will be key in advancing to Semi-Finals.
