Golden Eagle Baseball Travel to Omaha, Neb. to Face Morningside College

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Baseball team travels to Omaha, Neb. to face Morningside College on Sunday, March 16 and Monday, March 17. First pitch is scheduled for 1:30 pm on Sunday and 11:00 am on Monday.

 

The Golden Eagles have been off since dropping a doubleheader to UW-Stout on Thursday, March 6 at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minn. The scores were 7-3 and 13-5.

 

U of M, Crookston holds an overall record of 2-2. They are led by Paul Krebs (Jr, RHP/C, Little Falls, Minn.), Alex Gregor (Fr, 1B/RHP, Shakopee, Minn.) and Nate Stark (Jr, OF, McIntosh, Minn.). They each are batting .500. Gregor and Stark each have two runs batted in (RBI) and Krebs has one RBI. Shawn Motl (So, 3B/RHP, Staples, Minn.) is hitting .417 with two doubles and two RBI while Jordan Triestram (So, IF/RHP, Shakopee, Minn.) is hitting .400 with four RBI. Nick Wright (So, RHP, Grand Forks, N.D.) is 1-0 on the hill with a 1.69 earned run average (ERA). Krebs is 1-1 with a 3.55 ERA and 15 strikeouts.

 

Morningside College of Sioux City, Iowa is 5-3 going into Thursday’s game against Briar Cliff.
