UMC/ CSP Baseball Games Changed

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston vs. Concordia – St. Paul baseball games scheduled for Wednesday, April 2 in St. Paul, Minn. have been changed to Thursday, April 3 in Crookston, Minn. The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) doubleheader will begin at 2:00 pm and be played at the UMC Baseball Field.
The Golden Eagles are 3-7 overall and 1-3 in the NSIC. They dropped a doubleheader to the University of North Dakota on Sunday, March 30 in Bismarck, N.D. U of M, Crookston is led by Paul Krebs (Jr, RHP/C, Little Falls, Minn.) who is hitting .346 (9 for 26) with three doubles, Shawn Motl (So, 3B/RHP, Staples, Minn.) who is hitting .321 (9 for 28) with four runs batted in (RBI), Alex Gregor (Fr, 1B/RHP, Shakopee, Minn.) who is hitting .313 (5 for 16) and Tyler Reiner (Jr, C, Sanborn, Minn.) who is hitting .310 (9 for 29) with four RBI. Motl is 0-1 with a 4.25 earned run average (ERA) while Nick Wright (So, RHP, Grand Forks, N.D.) is 1-2 with a 5.17 ERA.
Concordia-St. Paul has an overall record of 10-6 and NSIC record of 4-2 after sweeping Bemidji State University on Sunday. Monday’s games were cancelled to inclement weather. Brenden Furrow is hitting .472 (25 for 53) with five doubles, three homeruns and 23 RBI. Jake Schmidt is 4-0 with a 3.21 ERA with 39 strikeouts.
