(Crookston, Minn.) – Jamestown College broke open a 6-4 game with five runs in the bottom half of the eighth inning to defeat the University of Minnesota, Crookston 11-4 on Wednesday at Jack Brown Stadium in Jamestown, N.D.
Jake Poehler (Fr, OF, Coon Rapids, Minn.), David Lovly (Jr, OF, Goodridge, Minn.) and Adam Lee (Fr, 2B, Halstad, Minn.) each had two hits for the Golden Eagles.
Jamestown College improves to 17-6 on the season. U of M, Crookston falls to 3-14. The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13 when they travel to Fayette, Iowa to take on Upper Iowa University in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (NSIC) series. Saturday’s doubleheader will start at 1:00 pm. Sunday’s doubleheader will start at 12:00 pm.
