UMC Baseball Games at Upper Iowa Changed to Sunday/Monday

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Baseball games at Upper Iowa University scheduled for Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13 have been moved to Sunday, April 13 and Monday, April 14 due to impending bad weather. Sunday’s Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) doubleheader will start at 1:00 pm while Monday’s will begin at 12:00 pm in Fayette, Iowa.

 

The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 3-14 and NSIC record of 1-9. They dropped a non-conference game at Jamestown College by an 11-4 score on Wednesday, April 9.

 

U of M, Crookston is led by Adam Lee (Fr, 2B, Halstad, Minn.) who is hitting .455 (5 for 11), Tyler Reiner (Jr, C/DH, Sanborn, Minn.) who is hitting .346 (18 for 52) with nine runs batted in (RBI), Paul Krebs (Jr, RHP/C, Little Falls, Minn.) who is hitting .306 (15 for 49) and Jake Poehler (Fr, OF, Coon Rapids, Minn.) who is hitting .304 (14 for 46) with 10 RBI.

 

The Peacocks of Upper Iowa University have an overall record of 11-19 and NSIC record of 8-6. They split a non-conference doubleheader with Minnesota State Mankato on Wednesday. They are led by Marcus Thompson who is hitting .367 (29 for 79) with 19 RBI. Brian Putnam is 4-2 on the mound with a 3.34 earned run average (ERA).
