Golden Eagle Women’s Golf Team in Seventh Place After Three Rounds at NSIC Championship

(Yankton, S.D.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women’s Golf team traveled to Yankton, S.D. on April 17 and 18 to take part in the NSIC Women’s Golf Championship held at the Fox Run Golf Club. Through three rounds, Brittany Poole (Fr, Channahan, Ill.) leads the Golden Eagles with a combined score of 280 good for 29th place. On April 17 she shot a team best 88 in the third of four total rounds.
The first two rounds of the NSIC Championships were played last fall in Becker, Minn. Yesterday’s round was played at Fox Run Golf Course in Yankton, S.D. as Upper Iowa (934) opened up a 51 stroke lead over Concordia-St. Paul (985) as they enter the final 18 holes on Friday. Rachael Schmidt continues to lead the field as she shot a 74 to finish three rounds at six over par (222) while teammate Laura Taylor (+18) finished with a round of 76 for a 234 for the Championship.
