(Crookston, Minn.)- University of Minnesota, Crookston head women’s basketball coach Mike Roysland announced today the signing of Megan Eul from Rosemount, Minn. and Anastasia Molnar from Bemidji, Minn. to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles during the 2008-09 season.

Megan Eul is a 5’10, forward from Rosemount High School in the Lake Conference. Through her high school career, she was named a two-time All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention player. She holds the school record for points in a season (506) and is a 1,000+ career point scorer. Off the court, Eul was named to the Academic All-State basketball team; she is in the top 5% of her class, a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society.

“Megan has a great knack for scoring.  She has the ability to finish well around the basket with either hand.  I like her versatility as a slasher as well,” says coach Roysland. “Her ability to run the floor will be an asset for her. She is a great addition to our university both on the court and in the classroom.”

Eul is undeclared on a major at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. She is the daughter of Craig and Liz Eul of Rosemount, Minn.

Anastasia Molnar is a 6’2, post player from Bemidji High School. She began playing basketball in 10th grade. Following her senior season, she was named Most Improved and led the squad with 31 blocked shots.

“Anastasia has really excelled at basketball in the few years she has been playing.  She has the leaping ability along with the work ethic to be a very good post player for us in the future,” comments coach Roysland. “Her attitude and desire to succeed will take her in a good direction.  She is a great addition to our program.”

Molnar plans to major in Pre-Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. She is the daughter of Jeff and Jacki Molnar of Bemidji, Minn.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is a NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). All signees are contingent upon admission to the University of Minnesota, Crookston and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
