Golden Eagle Baseball Signs P.J. Zwach (St. Paul, Minn.) to a National Letter of Intent

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Golden Eagle Baseball program announced today the signing of P.J. Zwach from St. Paul, Minn., to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles during the 2009 season.
Zwach is a 5’11, 160 lb, catcher/third baseman, from Henry Sibley High School of the Classic Suburban Conference. He has been a two-year varsity baseball letter winner for the Warriors and is serving as team captain this season. Zwach was a member of the Under Armour National Baseball Team as well as the Metro AAA All-Tournament Team. He also was a two-year varsity basketball letter winner at Henry Sibley.
“We are excited to have P.J. Zwach join the Golden Eagle Baseball program, “ says U of M, Crookston Head Coach Chris Vito. “He will bolster our depth both behind the plate and at third base. I really like P.J.’s approach to the game of baseball as well his passion
for the game. He is going to be a great fit for us.”
Zwach plans to major in Sport & Recreation Management at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. He is the son of Peter and Colleen Zwach.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is a NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Golden Eagle Hockey is a member of the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
All signees are contingent upon admission to the University of Minnesota, Crookston and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
