Golden Eagle Baseball Signs Paul Myers (Arden Hills, Minn.) to a National Letter of Intent

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Golden Eagle Baseball program announced today the signing of Paul Myers from Arden Hills, Minn., to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles during the 2009 season.
Myers is a 6’0, 170 lb, right-handed pitcher, from Mounds View High School of the Suburban East Conference. He was named All-Suburban East Conference Honorable Mention for the Mustangs in 2007. Myers will also pitch for perennial Minnesota American Legion Baseball powerhouse Tri-City Red of New Brighton this summer.
“One of our recruiting goals during this off-season is to add quality pitching depth, “says U of M, Crookston Head Coach Chris Vito. “Paul fits that role. He is an athletic player who will continue to improve. We are excited to have Paul become a part of the Golden Eagle Baseball program.”
Myers plans to major in Health Sciences (Pre-Professional) Pre-Medicine at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. He is the son of John Myers of Arden Hills, Minn. and Laura Myers of Arden Hills, Minn.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is a NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Golden Eagle Hockey is a member of the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
All signees are contingent upon admission to the University of Minnesota, Crookston and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
