Golden Eagle Baseball Signs Teddy Gutman (Burlington, Iowa) to an Institutional Letter of Intent

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Golden Eagle Baseball program announced today the signing of Teddy Gutman from Burlington, Iowa to an Institutional Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles during the 2009 season.

 

Gutman is a 6’3, 175 lb, infielder, from Southwestern Community College of Creston, Iowa where he played two years of baseball for the Spartans. He is a 2006 graduate of Burlington High School of the Mississippi Athletic Conference.

 

“We are excited that Teddy Gutman has decided to join Golden Eagle Baseball program,” says U of M, Crookston Head Coach Chris Vito. “He will provide quality depth and experience to our infield. We also appreciate the leadership skills that Teddy will bring to the team. With a young squad, this will be crucial.”

 

Gutman will major in Golf and Turf Management at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. He is the son of Ted and Nancy Gutman.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is a NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Golden Eagle Hockey is a member of the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).

 

All signees are contingent upon admission to the University of Minnesota, Crookston and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
