University of Minnesota, Crookston Women’s Soccer Team to Open Home Season

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women’s Soccer team will open the 2008 home season on Saturday, September 6 and Sunday, September 7 with a pair of non-conference contests. The Golden Eagles will play host to the University of Wisconsin-Superior on Saturday at 2 pm and Jamestown College on Sunday at 1 pm.
The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 0-2-0 after dropping two non-conference games this past weekend to Millikin University (4-1) and UW-Parkside (7-0). Kasey Castor (Fr., Mid., Northglenn, Colorado) has scored an unassisted goal while Anna Ogaard (So., GK, Maple Grove, Minn.) has 22 saves.
U of M, Crookston vs. UW-Superior 2 pm Saturday, September 6
The Yellowjackets 1-1-0 on the young season after dropping a 2-0 loss to Crown College and defeating Northland Baptist Bible College by a 5-0 score. They will face off against St. Mary’s University of Winona on Friday. Breanna Ean leads UW-Superior with three goals.
U of M, Crookston vs. Jamestown College 12 pm Sunday, September 7
The Jimmies are 0-1-0 after dropping a 4-1 decision to Bemidji State University on Tuesday. They host Dakota Wesleyan University on Saturday.
