(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston athletic department announced today that Monday, September 22 from 4-7 p.m. is UMC Golden Eagle “Kids Blitz” Day at Ampride Convenience Mart in Crookston.

Golden Eagle “Kids Blitz” Day is open to all children, parents, families, community members and Golden Eagle fans. Nearly 300 Golden Eagle Athletes will be in attendance throughout the evening to sign autographs for fans and to kick-off Homecoming week at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. The student-athletes are hosting water balloon games, handing out tattoos and painting faces. A free-will car wash will run during the duration of the event with half of the proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and half going to Golden Eagle Athletic Scholarships. Free tickets to the Golden Eagle Homecoming football game on September 27 will be given out to all children who participate in the event. Free hotdogs and pop are available for “Kids Blitz” participants courtesy of Ampride Convenience Mart of Crookston.
