University of Mary Stops Golden Eagles 2-0 in Women’s Soccer

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Mary scored a goal in each half and limited the University of Minnesota, Crookston to four shots on goal as they defeated the Golden Eagles 2-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Women’s Soccer action on Saturday afternoon in Bismarck, N.D.
The Marauders got on the board at 36:44 of the game when Megan Wilson scored a goal off an assist from Jessica Janusz. Wilson scored her second goal of the game at 80:16 off an assist from Alyssa Deutscher.
The University of Mary improves to 6-7-0 overall and 5-1-0 in the NSIC. The Golden Eagles fall to 2-9-1 overall and 1-6-0 in the NSIC.
U of M, Crookston will return to action today when they take on Northern State University in an NSIC contest in Aberdeen, S.D. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
