(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women’s Soccer team is bracing for a busy week that will see the Golden Eagles play three games in a five day span. U of M, Crookston will face Division I foe the University of North Dakota on Wednesday, October 15 in Grand Forks, N.D. at 3 p.m. On Saturday, the Golden Eagles will host Minnesota State University Moorhead in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) match starting at 1 p.m. On Sunday, U of M, Crookston will travel to Jamestown College in Jamestown, N.D. for a non-conference encounter starting at 1 p.m.
The Golden Eagles hold an overall record of 2-10-1 and NSIC record of 1-7-1 after dropping a pair of conference matches on the road last weekend. On Saturday, the University of Mary defeated U of M, Crookston 2-0. On Sunday, Northern State University stopped the Golden Eagles 4-0.
U of M, Crookston is led by Justine Jones (Jr, Fwd/Mid, Richland, Wash.) who has scored five goals for ten points. Kelsey Palmer (So, Fwd, Crookston, Minn.) has scored three goals and added an assist for seven points.
Golden Eagles at the University of North Dakota 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 15
The Fighting Sioux have an overall record of 3-10-0 after dropping a 2-1 decision to the University of Mary on October 8. They are led by Lauren Herrmann who has scored five goals for ten points.
Golden Eagles vs. MSU Moorhead 1 p.m. Saturday, October 18
The Dragons have an overall record of 5-6-1 and NSIC record of 2-5-1 after dropping a 2-1 decision to Northern State University on Saturday and a 5-0 decision to the University of Mary on Sunday. They are led by Richelle Ross who has scored five goals and added one assist for 11 points.
Golden Eagles at Jamestown College 1 p.m. Sunday, October 19
The Jimmies have an overall record of 0-13-2 after dropping a 2-0 decision to Dordt College on Saturday and a 1-0 overtime decision to Rocky Mountain College on Sunday. No other stats are available.
