Jamestown College Defeats Golden Eagle Women’s Soccer Team 2-1

(Crookston, Minn.)- The Jamestown College Women’s Soccer team scored the first two goals of the game in the second half and held on for 2-1 victory over the University of Minnesota, Crookston in non-conference action Sunday in Jamestown, N.D.
Colleen Lubke scored Jamestown’s two goals at 63:30 and 64:19 respectively. Megan Gibeault (So, Fwd, Green Bay, Wis.) scored U of M, Crookston’s lone goal off an assist from Justine Jones (Jr, Fwd/Mid, Richland, Wash.) at 84:30. It was Gibeault’s third goal of the season.
The Jimmies improve to 1-15-2 overall while the Golden Eagles fall to 2-13-1.
U of M, Crookston will return to action on Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26 when they play host to Augustana College and Wayne State College respectively. Both Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) games start at 1 p.m.
