Andrew Albers (Kimberly, Wis.) Signs with Golden Eagle Men’s Basketball

(Crookston, Minn.)- University of Minnesota, Crookston head men’s basketball coach Jeff Oseth announced today the signing of Andrew Albers from Kimberly, Wis. to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles during the 2009-10 season.

Albers is a 6-6, 190 lb, guard from Kimberly High School in the Fox Valley Association.

"Andrew is an extremely intelligent basketball player. He has a great defensive mindset and has the footwork to go along with his length and athleticism that will help us on both ends of the floor,” says coach Oseth. “His outstanding work ethic will also be a great benefit to the Golden Eagle family.  He's a natural leader with a great feel for the game. We're incredibly excited that Andrew has agreed to become a Golden Eagle.” 

Albers plans to major in sport & recreation management at the U of M, Crookston. He is the son of Susan Albers.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is a NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
