Margo McHugh (Indian Harbor Beach, Fla.) Signs with Golden Eagle Volleyball

(Crookston, Minn.)- University of Minnesota, Crookston head women’s volleyball coach Lee Anderson announced today the signing of Margo McHugh to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles in 2009.
 
McHugh is a 5-9, outside hitter / defensive specialist from West Shore Senior High School in the Cape Coast Conference. She was named a team captain prior to her senior season. McHugh played in the AAU National Junior Olympic Games in beach volleyball in 2006. The team finished 11th in the U.S. in the 16U Division. In the classroom, she is a member of the National Honor Society, National Beta Club, National Honor Society of High School Scholars and a member of the Academic Honor Roll.
 
"Margo is a gifted athlete. She is a very dynamic jumper and quick on the court.  Her athletic talents are going to give her the opportunity to contribute immediately,” say coach Anderson. “We are excited to bring Margo into our program."
 
McHugh plans to major in accounting at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. She is the daughter of Frank and Devin Lady.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is a NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Golden Eagle Hockey is a member of the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
