(Crookston, Minn.) – Lawrence University opened a 2-0 lead after one period and never looked back on their way to an 8-0 victory over the University of Minnesota, Crookston Saturday in Midwest Collegiate Hockey Conference (MCHA) action in Appleton, Wis.
Marc Howe scored a hat-trick with two power play goals for the Vikings. He also added an assist. Nick Jennette scored two goals including a power play goal. He also added two assists. Evan Johnson recorded 17 saves to earn the shut-out.
Lawrence University improves to 3-4-0 overall and 3-3-0 in the MCHA. The Golden Eagles fall to 1-7-0 overall and 1-5-0 in the MCHA.
The University of Minnesota, Crookston will return to action when they play host to Hamline University in a non-conference game on Sunday, November 30 at the Crookston Civic Arena. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
