Golden Eagle Men’s Hockey Team Hosts Hamline University

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men’s Hockey team returns home to host Hamline University in a non-conference match-up on Sunday, November 30. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. at the Crookston Civic Arena.
The Golden Eagles will look to get back on the winning track after dropping four straight including two to Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA) foe Lawrence University by scores of 5-0 and 8-0.
The Golden Eagles hold an overall record of 1-7-0 and MCHA record of 1-5-0. U of M, Crookston is led by Brent Swanson (Jr, Fwd, Mason City, Iowa) who has one goal and four assists for five points. Martin Husicka (So, Fwd, Vsetin Czech Republic) has one goal and two assists for three points. Jacob Schira (Fr, G, Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) has a 1.51 goals against average and a .950 saves percentage. Bryan Dalbec (Fr, G, Superior, Wis.) has a 3.86 goals against average and a .908 saves percentage. He also set a new University of Minnesota, Crookston single game record for saves with 51 against Lawrence University on November 21 breaking Lee Baldwin’s record of 50 which he recorded in a 3-3 overtime tie against St. John’s University on December 13, 2003.
Golden Eagles vs. Hamline University 7:30 p.m. Sunday, November 30
The Pipers are the defending Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) champions and hold an overall record of 6-2-0 and MIAC record of 2-0-0. They defeated MCHA foe Concordia University of Wisconsin by scores of 7-3 and 6-1 this past weekend. Going into the Concordia series, Kyle Kurr (four goals/two assists/six points), Chris Berenguer (three goals/three assists/six points), Dustin Fulton (three goals/three assists/six points), Brian Arrigoni (two goals/four assists/six points) and Ryan Kupperman (two goals/four assists/six points) lead Hamline University. Matt Wanvig had a 1.67 goals against average and a .943 saves percentage going into last weekend’s series. No updated state were available.
