(Crookston, Minn.) – Eighth ranked Adrian College opened up a 9-0 lead after two periods of play and went on to defeat the University of Minnesota, Crookston 11-1 today in Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA) action today in Adrian, Mich.

Mike Leone and Shawn Skelly each scored two goals and added two assists. Chris Stasik added two goals while Joel Workman, Sam Kuzyk, Mike Dahlinger and Kyle Watson each scored a goal and added an assist for the Bulldogs.

U of M, Crookston’s John Lombardi (Jr, Fwd, Burnsville, Minn.) scored a short-handed goal at 15:59 of the third period off an assist from Fred Kooser (Jr, Fwd, Omaha, Neb.).

Adrian College improves to 15-1-1 overall and 12-0-0 in the MCHA. The Golden Eagles fall to 3-16-0 overall and 3-11-0 in the MCHA.

U of M, Crookston will return to the ice on Friday, January 30 and Saturday, January 31 when they play host to Lawrence University in the final MCHA regular season series of the year. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively.
