Lawrence University Shuts-Outs U of M, Crookston 2-0 in Men’s Hockey

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men’s Hockey team put forth another valiant effort but Lawrence University’s Evan Johnson stopped 20 Golden Eagle shots as the Vikings won 2-0 tonight at the Crookston Civic Arena in Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA) action.
Lawrence University got on the board at 19:03 of the first period when Jameson Raymond scored an even-strength goal off an assist from Marc Howe. The Vikings put the game away at 5:20 of the second period when Jonathan Berlotti scored an even-strength goal off assists from Ben DiMarco and Sam Johnson.
Bryan Dalbec (Fr, G, Superior, Wis.) was stellar in net for U of M, Crookston stopping 37 Lawrence University shots.
The Vikings improve to 10-9-1 overall and 10-4-1 in the MCHA. The Golden Eagles fall to 3-17-0 overall and 3-12-0 in the MCHA. The two teams meet again tomorrow in the final regular season home game for U of M, Crookston. The puck drops at 3 p.m. at the Crookston Civic Arena.
