(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Baseball games against St. Cloud State University have been moved from St. Cloud, Minn. to Freeman, S.D. and will be played on Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21. First pitch of Friday’s doubleheader is scheduled for 6 p.m. while Saturday’s start time will be 2 p.m. The four game series will be the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) openers for both teams.

The Golden Eagles returned home from Fort Myers, Fla. early Thursday morning after playing eight games at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic. U of M, Crookston went 2-6 and improved steadily. The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 2-12. They are led by Jake Poehler (So, OF, Coon Rapids, Minn.) who has a .429 (15 for 35) batting average with nine RBI. Kayle Lewellen (Sr, SS, Forest Lake, Minn.) is hitting .364 (16 for 44) with nine RBI. Casey Woodside (Fr, C, Albert Lea, Minn.) has a .353 (12 for 34) batting average with nine RBI. Devin Croal (Fr, 2B, Coon Rapids, Minn.) is hitting .333 (17 for 51) with seven RBI. Paul Krebs (Sr, OF/RHP, Little Falls, Minn.) is 1-2 on the mound with a 2.45 ERA and 19 strikeouts.

Coach Pat Dolan’s Huskies are off to a 19-5 start this season. They are led by Sam Radbil who is hitting .423 (33 for 78) with 24 RBI and Tyler Horning who is hitting .418 (23 for 55) with 13 RBI. Logan Birr is 4-0 with a 2.45 ERA while Pat DeLaHunt is 4-0 with a 3.51 ERA.
