Ann Spenner (Dodge, Neb.) Signs with Golden Eagle Volleyball

(Crookston, Minn.)- University of Minnesota, Crookston head women’s volleyball coach Lee Anderson announced today the signing of Ann Spenner to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles in 2009.
 
Spenner is a 6-0 middle hitter from Central Community College (Columbus Campus). She was a national qualifier, most improved and blocks leader in 2008 and 2009 at Central Community College. In her career at Dodge High School, Spenner was named All-Conference Honorable Mention and is the career blocks leader.
 
"Ann is the best pure athlete we signed in this class.  She is very dynamic and plays above the net,” comments Coach Anderson. “That athletic ability and her experience at the JUCO level will allow Ann to make an immediate impact next season.  We are very excited that Ann decided to become a Golden Eagle."
 
Spenner plans to major in sport & recreation management at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. She is the daughter of Jim and Shirley Spenner.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is a NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Golden Eagle Hockey is a member of the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
 
All signees are contingent upon admission to the University of Minnesota, Crookston and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
