(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Baseball team will play five games this week including their final road games. Tuesday’s game against Jamestown College has been cancelled due to Jamestown having to make up conference games. The Golden Eagles will travel to Duluth, Minn. on Wednesday, April 22 for a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) doubleheader against the University of Minnesota Duluth. First Pitch is slated for 2 p.m. at Bulldog Park. On Friday, April 24, U of M, Crookston will face Mayville State University in a non-conference doubleheader at the UMC Baseball Field starting at 12 p.m. The Golden Eagles return the trip to Mayville, N.D. on Saturday, April 25 for a single nine-inning game starting at 1:30 p.m. This game was recently added to the schedule.
The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 5-33 and NSIC record of 3-21 after going 1-5 last week. U of M, Crookston split a doubleheader with the University of Mary before dropping all four games to Concordia University-St. Paul. All games were competitive with the Golden Eagles playing their best baseball of the season.

Jake Poehler (So, OF, Coon Rapids, Minn.) is hitting .339 (40 for 118) with 18 RBI. He has seven doubles, one triple and one homerun.
Casey Woodside (Fr, C, Albert Lea, Minn.) is hitting .311 (32 for 103) with 22 RBI. He has eight doubles and two homeruns.
Paul Krebs (Sr, OF/RHP, Little Falls, Minn.) is hitting .297 (35 for 118) with 18 RBI. He has four doubles, one triple and three homeruns. Krebs is also 2-5 on the mound with one save. He has an ERA of 4.50 with 43 strikeouts.
Golden Eagles @ University of Minnesota Duluth Wednesday, April 22 12 p.m. (2)Coach Bob Reints and his Bulldogs have an overall record of 16-24 and NSIC record of 8-12 after taking three of four games from Bemidji State University this past weekend.
