Shannon Cologna (Peoria, Ariz.) Signs with Golden Eagle Volleyball

(Crookston, Minn.)- University of Minnesota, Crookston head women’s volleyball coach Lee Anderson announced today the signing of Shannon Cologna to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles in 2009.
 
Cologna is a 5-6 setter from Pasco-Hernando Community College in New Port Richey, Fla. In 2007 she was named the Wells Fargo Player of the Year. Prior to the 2008 campaign, Cologna was named the team captain for the Pasco-Hernando team.
 
"Shannon is an outstanding setter with a lot of experience. She is very skilled and has a great court demeanor which will be a great asset to her on the court,” says Coach Anderson. "I am looking forward to having Shannon play a large role on the Golden Eagle Volleyball team this season."
 
Cologna plans to major in psychology at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. She is the daughter of Mark and Cathy Cologna.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is a NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
