CROOKSTON, MN (September 29, 2006) – The 2006 homecoming royalty were crowned at the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) on Thursday evening, Sept. 28, 2006. Following coronation, there was a dance in Bede Ballroom in the Student Center. Theme for the week is “Rockin’ On and Still Going Strong.” The 2006 Homecoming royalty are: Queen—Dauli Menze, Junior, Starbuck, Minn., Communication and General Agriculture major King—David LeTourneau, Junior, White Bear Lake, Minn., Natural Resources Law Enforcement major Princess—Jill Leoni, Sophmore, Gilbert, Minn., Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Mgt. major Prince—Jade Estling, sophomore, Warroad, Minn., Ag Systems Management and Agronomy major On Friday, Sept. 29, UMC will honor its Outstanding Alumni and Athletic Hall of Fame inductees at a banquet in the evening. Saturday, Sept. 30, is the homecoming parade at 11:30 a.m. The UMC Golden Eagle football team will take on the Wayne State College Wildcats at 1 p.m. on Ed Widseth Field.
