Joshua Lunak Hired at the U of M, Crookston to Head Golden Eagle Women’s Tennis Program

(Crookston, Minn.)- University of Minnesota, Crookston Athletic Director, Stephanie Helgeson announced today the addition of Joshua Lunak to the Golden Eagle coaching staff. Lunak was hired to head the Golden Eagle Women’s Tennis program.
Lunak is currently finishing up his master of science degree in health, physical education and recreation with an emphasis in sports pedagogy at South Dakota State University (SDSU) in Brookings, S.D. He will graduate in July 2007. Lunak received his bachelor of elective studies degree from St. Cloud State University in 2005.
He was the graduate assistant men’s and women’s tennis coach at SDSU. During his first year, he took over both Division I programs. Lunak was in charge of recruiting and promoting the Jackrabbit tennis programs, budgeting and planning the practice and season schedules. He had three members of the tennis team earn recognition on the Academic All-Independent team.
Lunak is a native of Grand Forks, N.D. and graduated from Red River High School in Grand Forks.
