Chadron State Rallies to Top Golden Eagles in Volleyball Action

The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women’s Volleyball team won the first two games of its match with Chadron State College by scores of 30-19 and 30-25. But Chadron rallied to take the next three by scores of 30-26, 30-27 and 15-13 as the Golden Eagles lost a tightly contested match by a score of 3-2 on Friday.
Katie Bonine (Fr., Outside Hitter, Cottage Grove, Minn.) had 22 kills. Heather Foreman (Jr., Outside Hitter, Brandon, Man.) recorded 28 digs. Cassie Yates (Jr., Setter, Buffalo, Minn.) had 41 set assists. Allison Zajicek (Jr., Middle Hitter, Beatrice, Neb.) recorded five block assists.
Lauren Emory (So., Outside Hitter, Fort Collins, Colo.) led Chadron State with 13 kills. Jamie Mills (Fr., Right Side Hitter, Alliance, Neb.) added 36 set assists.
The Golden Eagles will return to action on Saturday and Sunday at the University of North Dakota Tournament where they will play Dickinson State (Friday – 4:30 pm) and Northern Michigan (Saturday – 2:00 pm).
