Golden Eagle Women’s Soccer Team Hosts Northern State University and University of Mary This Saturday and Sunday

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women’s Soccer team plays host to Northern State University and the University of Mary in non-conference games this Saturday and Sunday respectively. Both games start at 1:00 pm
The Golden Eagles are coming off of two tough losses last week. On Saturday, U of M, Crookston was nipped 1-0 in overtime by Bemidji State University. On Sunday, the Golden Eagles supplied another solid effort but a penalty kick cost them the game as Jamestown College won 1-0.
U of M, Crookston is 2-6-0 on the season. Kelsey Palmer (Fr., Fwd./Mid., Crookston, Minn.) leads the Golden Eagles with four goals and two assists for ten points. Kiely Bladow (Sr., Def./Mid., Monument, Colo.) has one goal and six assists for eight points. Athena Mussenden (So., GK., Kenosha, Wis.) has a 1.06 goals against average and a .872 saves percentage.
Northern State University has a record of 5-3-1 after dropping a 1-0 decision to the University of Mary on Sunday. Maggie Fedor (Fr., Fwd., Monticello, Minn.) leads the Wolves with seven goals and one assist for 15 points. Dee Wood (Fr., GK., Bothell, Wash.) has a 0.81 goals against average and a .833 saves percentage.
The University of Mary has a record of 4-3-0 on the season after a defeating Northern State by a score of 1-0 on Sunday. Jessica Janusz (Jr., Fwd., Bismarck, N.D.) and Shanda Lester (Sr., Mid., Rapid City, S.D.) each have three goals for six points to lead the Marauders. Carly Feiler (So., GK., Pierre, S.D.) has a 1.12 goals against average and a .800 saves percentage.
