(Winona, Minn.)- The Golden Eagle Men’s Golf team advanced one spot on day two of the Express Suites Riverport Invitational held in Winona, Minn. The Golden Eagle’s finished in fifth place as a team, 18 shots behind fourth place Upper Iowa University. Individually, Jake Sanders (Fr., Crookston, Minn.) and Steven Busho (Sr., Blooming Prairie, Minn.) battled for the top spot on the team in the invitational. Sanders put together two solid rounds, shooting a 72 on day one and a 71 on day two to finish tied for eighth in the invite. Busho took the team lead after day one shooting a 69 but struggled a little on day two, shooting a 75 to tie for eleventh on the weekend.

The Golden Eagle Men’s Golf team concludes its fall season this weekend when the team travels to Becker, Minn. to take part in the NSIC Golf Championship. The NSIC Championship runs from October 5-7 and will be held at the Pebble Creek Golf Club.
