Golden Eagle Athletics recognized the 2006-2007 newcomers of the year. They are; women’s basketball player Katie Cheline from Mondovi, Wisconsin and men’s basketball player Bryce Cummings from Muskego, Wisconsin.

Last Season, Katie was the top scorer and rebounder for the Golden Eagles. She averaged of 9.2 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game.  She recorded double-doubles against Mayville State, Winona State, and Mary. Katie attended Mondovi High School and was an All-Conference team member for three years. Katie is the daughter of Bruce and Dianna Cheline of Mondovi, Wisconsin. She is majoring in Communications.

Last Season, Bryce was the NSIC Newcomer of the Year for men’s basketball. He led the Golden Eagles in scoring with 13.1 points per game. From the field, Bryce shot 39.3 percent and from the three point line, he shot 37.5 percent. He scored a season high 31 points versus Winona State University on January 20th, 2007. Bryce joined the Golden Eagles after an outstanding career at Muskego High School. Bryce is the son of Brett and Mary Cummings of Mukwanago, Wisconsin. He is majoring in Sport and Recreation Management.
