NSIC Recognizes Three Golden Eagle Football Players as All-Conference Team Members

(Crookston, Minn.)- The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) announced today that three Golden Eagle football players earned All-Conference honors following the 2007 season. Jordan Grafsgaard (Sr., TE, Ulen, Minn.) earned All-Conference Second Team Offense honors. Jordan McCormick (Sr., OL, San Leandro, Calif.) and Travis Coulson (Jr., P, Crescent City, Calif.) earned All-Conference Honorable Mention recognition.

 

Grafsgaard played in all 10 games this season. He was third on the team in receptions (21). He was second on the team in total yards (296), average yards per catch (14.1) and yards per game (29.6). Grafsgaard’s lone touchdown reception came on a 20-yard strike against MSU Moorhead with only eight seconds left in regulation to give the Golden Eagles a come from behind victory. He was named the KROX Athlete of the Week on November 5, 2007. Grafsgaard is majoring in Early Childhood Education and is the son of Dave and Mari Grafsgaard. He is also a forward on the Golden Eagle Men’s Basketball team.

 

McCormick played in five games during the 2007 season. He is an offensive tackle that helped the Golden Eagles finish sixth in the NSIC in rushing offense (121.5 yards per game) Off the field he is president of the Communication Club, a Crookston Student Association (CSA) Senator, an intern with UMC Media Services and was awarded the Excellence and Desire Scholarship at the end of the 2007 spring semester. He is majoring in Communication and is the son of Tina McCormick of Oakland, Calif. and Martin McCormick of San Leandro, Calif.

 

Coulson played in all 10 games this season. He was named NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week twice during the 2007 season. Coulson ranked third in the conference in punt average (37.2), yards (237) and net yards per punt (33.6). He ranked first in total yards (2,454). Coulson is majoring in Sport & Recreation Management and is the son of Kelly and Fred Coulson.
