U of M, Crookston’s Alex Maginnis Named MCHA Freshman of the Week

(Crookston, Minn.) – University of Minnesota, Crookston Men’s Hockey player Alex Maginnis (Fr., Fwd., Mason City, Iowa) has been named Freshman of the Week by the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA).
Maginnis scored three goals and added an assist for four points this past weekend at defending league champion Milwaukee School of Engineering. Two of his goals were of the power play variety. Maginnis leads the Golden Eagles with five goals and one assist for six points.
U of M, Crookston is 0-4-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the MCHA. They return to action this Friday and Saturday when they travel to Marian College for two MCHA games. The puck drops at 7:00 pm and 2:00 pm respectively.
