Golden Eagle Men’s Hockey Team to Play Home Opener on Tuesday

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men’s Hockey team returns to action on Tuesday night with their home opener against non-conference foe Concordia-Moorhead. The puck drops at 8:30 pm at the Crookston Civic Arena.
The Golden Eagles have not played since a 7-1 loss to Marian College back on November 17. Coach Gary Warren’s squad holds an overall record of 0-6-0 and a Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA) record of 0-4-0. U of M, Crookston is led by Alex Maginnis (Fr., Fwd., Mason City, Iowa) who has five goals and two assists for seven points. Teal Plaine (Sr., Fwd., Hallock, Minn.) has one goal and three assist for four points.
Concordia-Moorhead has an overall record of 1-3-0. They have not played since losing to St. Norbert College by a 3-1 score on November 10. The Cobbers are led by Kirby Markowsky who has two goals and one assist for three points and Alec Holen who has three assists for three points.
