Golden Eagle Hockey Team Hopes to Continue Winning Ways at Lawrence University

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men’s Hockey team hopes to continue the success of this weekend’s sweep over Concordia University of Wisconsin when they travel to Appleton, Wis. to take on Lawrence University in a pair of Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA) games. The puck drops at 7:00 pm on Friday and 4:00 pm on Saturday.
U of M, Crookston has an overall record of 5-14-0 and MCHA record of 4-10-0. They are led by Teal Plaine (Sr., Fwd., Hallock, Minn.) who has four goals and nine assists for 13 points. He is followed by Alex Maginnis (Fr., Fwd., Mason City, Iowa) who has seven goals and four assists for 11 points, Ryan Tucker (Sr., Fwd., Crookston, Minn.) who has six goals and four assists for ten points, Matt Hann (Sr., Fwd., Crookston, Minn.) who has six goals and three assists for nine points and Jared Kopp (Jr., Fwd., Bismarck, N.D.) who has four goals and five assists for nine points. Goaltender Eric Everson (Jr., G., Stevens Point, Wis.) is 5-8-0 in net and has a 3.87 goals against average and a .892 saves percentage.
Lawrence University has an overall record of 5-11-3 and MCHA record of 5-8-1. The Vikings dropped a 4-3 decision to Marian College on Friday and tied the Sabres 4-4 on Saturday. Lawrence is led by Marc Howe who has 10 goals and 11 assists for 21 points. Nick Jennette has nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points. The Golden Eagles defeated the Vikings by scores of 3-2 and 1-0 back on December 1 and 2, 2007.
