Golden Eagle Soccer Signs Four Players to National Letters of Intent

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Golden Eagle Soccer program announced the signing of four players to a National Letters of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles during the 2008 season.

 

Amanda Reiter          5’3”     Mid.                             Walker, MN (Walker-Hackensack-Akeley High School)

 

Reiter is a 5’3, midfielder, from Walker-Hackensack-Akeley High School. She served as team captain her senior year.

 

Reiter’s major at the University of Minnesota, Crookston is undeclared. She is the daughter of Susan Reiter.

 

 

Amber Salzman         5’5”     Fwd./Mid./GK             Maplewood, MN (St. Paul Humboldt High School)

 

Salzman is a 5’5, forward/midfielder/goaltender, from Humboldt High School in St. Paul, Minn. She was named All-St. Paul City Conference and also her team’s Most Valuable Player.

 

Salzman’s major at the University of Minnesota, Crookston is undeclared. She is the daughter of Theresa Behnke of Maplewood, Minn. and Gary Salzman, Jr. of Inver Grove Heights, Minn.

 

 

Ashley Sletten           5’5”     Fwd.                            Glenwood, Minn. (Minnewaska Area High School)

 

Sletten is a 5’5, forward, from Minnewaska Area High School. She was her team’s Most Valuable Offensive Player in both 2006 and 2007 and was named the team’s Most Versatile Player in 2004. Sletten also earned All-West Central Conference honors in track & field.

 

Sletten’s major at the University of Minnesota, Crookston will be Business. She is the daughter of Melody Sletten.

 

Kayla Wallis               5’10”   Def.                             Lakeville, MN (Lakeville North High School)

 

Wallis is a 5’10, defender, from Lakeville North High School.

 

Wallis’s major at the University of Minnesota, Crookston is undeclared. She is the daughter of Regina Wallis.
