High School: Elizabeth, a 5'10, middle/outside hitter, played her high school volleyball at Owatonna High School. In 2005, she set a season record in kill efficiency (.418) and recorded 620 kills in her career at Owatonna. She was named All-Conference from 2003-2005 and All-State Honorable Mention in 2005. Kern was a standout on the ice sheet and in the classroom as well. She was a three-year letter winner and a two-time All-Conference selection in hockey. Academically, she was selected as an Academic All-Conference and Academic All-State student athlete.

Personal: Elizabeth plans to major in Agricultural Education at UMC. She is the daughter of Ken and Lisa Kern. Elizabeth's favorite restaurant is the Olive Garden and her brothers, Andrew and Matt are her favorite athletes.
