2007: Amber played in 107 games in 2007. She ranked third in kills with 237 (2.21 kills/game). Amber recorded 80 blocks (13 solo/67 assisted). She recorded a season high 19 kills against the University of North Dakota on October 23, 2007. On October 6, she set her season mark in blocks with eight (two solo/six assisted) against Southwest Minnesota State.
Previous School : Redshirted at the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 2006.
High School: Meyer is a 6'2, middle hitter. She played her high school volleyball at Paxton Consolidated Schools in Paxton, NE. While in high school, Amber twice earned recognition as a First Team All-State Division II player, twice was named to the First Team All-State Tournament team, twice was named All-Central Platte Conference First Team, and also was twice named All-Area/All-Class Player of the Year by the North Platte Telegram. She was named Class C-1 Division II All-Area Defensive Player of the Year her senior season. Amber's team won the Nebraska State Division II Championship her junior year and was runner-up her senior year. She was her team's leading blocker as a senior with 108 and led her team in kills (291) and blocks (79) as a junior. Amber holds the Nebraska State Division II record for kills in a season with 482. In addition, she lettered three times in volleyball, three years in basketball, two years in track, three years in one-act play, and two years in speech as well as serving as a class officer for three years, a student council member for two years and was on the honor roll for three years.
Personal: Amber is a Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management major at U of M, Crookston. She is the daughter of Martin and Deb Meyer of Paxton, NE.
