High School: Holmquist is a 5’6, setter / defensive specialist from Edgewood High School in Madison, Wis. Following her senior season she was named a 2007 All-City and All-Conference first team member. Holmquist’s high school team was the region and conference champions from 2005-2007. Her summer club team, the Wisconsin Power, finished 27th out of 48 teams at the Nationals in Minneapolis, Minn. Off the court; Holmquist is involved in several extra curricular activities including choir, soccer, softball, swimming and water ballet.

Personal: Kate plans to major in Communication at U of M, Crookston. She is the daughter of Kent and Tami Holmquist.
