(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Soccer team returns to NSIC action on Friday, September 25 and Sunday, September 27 when they host Bemidji State University and the University of Minnesota Duluth in a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) contests. Friday's match will begin at 3 p.m. while Sunday's will begin at 1 p.m.
The Golden Eagles look to break back into the win column after dropping NSIC contests at Winona State University (3-0) and the University of Upper Iowa (5-0) last Saturday and Sunday. U of M, Crookston has an overall record of 2-5-1 and NSIC record of 0-2-0. They are led by Justine Jones (Sr, Fwd, Richland Wash.) who has scored three goals for six points. Megan Gibeault (Jr, Fwd, Green Bay, Wis.) has scored one goal and added two assists for four points. Anna Ogaard (Jr, GK, Maple Grove, Minn.) is 2-5-1 in net with a 2.20 goals against average and a .797 saves percentage.
Golden Eagles vs. Bemidji State University Friday, September 25 3 p.m.
The Beavers hold an overall record of 5-2-0 and NSIC record of 2-0-0 after defeating Minnesota State University, Mankato and Southwest Minnesota State University by scores of 1-0 and 4-0 this past weekend. Bemidji State University is led by Brianna Duff who has scored six goals and added four assists for 16 points. Ashlee Ellefsen has scored four goals and added five assists for 13 points. Samantha Ross is 3-1-0 in net with a 0.24 goals against average and a .947 saves percentage. The Beavers defeated the Golden 5-1 in non-conference action on September 8 in Crookston, Minn.
Golden Eagles vs. University of Minnesota Duluth Sunday, September 27 1 p.m.
The Bulldogs have an overall record of 4-1-1 and NSIC record of 2-1-1 after defeating Southwest Minnesota State University and Minnesota State University, Mankato by scores of 2-0 and 1-0 this past weekend. They are led by Clare Dahmen who has scored three goals and added two assists for eight points. Hannah Bengston is 4-1-1 in net with a 0.64 goals against average and a .879 saves percentage.
