University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Soccer Team Hits the Road for NSIC Games

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Soccer team hits the road this weekend for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) games against Concordia University - St. Paul and St. Cloud State University. The Golden Eagles face the Golden Bears on Friday, October 2 at 3 p.m. in St. Paul, Minn. After a day off, U of M, Crookston will travel to St. Cloud, Minn. to face the Huskies at 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 4.

The Golden Eagles hold an overall record of 2-7-1 and NSIC record of 0-4-0 after dropping a pair of hard fought games this past weekend. Friday saw Bemidji State University score the game's only goal in the second half to take home a 1-0 victory. U of M, Crookston held the University of Minnesota Duluth scoreless for a half on Sunday before the Bulldogs took home a 6-1 victory.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is led by Justine Jones (Sr, Fwd, Richland, Wash.) has scored three goals for six points. Megan Gibeault (Jr, Fwd, Green Bay, Wis.) has scored one goal and added two assists for four points. Megan Flynn (Fr, Def, Chanhassen, Minn.) has scored one goal and added an assist for three points. Anna Ogaard (Jr, GK, Maple Grove, Minn.) has a 2.34 goals against average and a .788 saves percentage.

Golden Eagles @ Concordia University - St. Paul  Friday, October 2  3 p.m.

The Golden Bears have an overall record of 5-4-2 and NSIC record of 2-1-1 after splitting a pair of games this past weekend. They were defeated by Minnesota State University, Mankato 2-1 before defeating Southwest Minnesota State University 5-1. The Golden Bears are led by Arielle Stimson and Katie Johnson who have each scored five goals and added three assists for 13 points. Kaitlin Budd has a 1.49 goals against average and a .721 saves percentage.

Golden Eagles @ St. Cloud State University   Sunday, October 4  1 p.m.

The Huskies have an overall record of 4-2-3 and NSIC record of 3-0-1 after defeating Southwest Minnesota State University 2-1 and Minnesota State University, Mankato 1-0 this past weekend. They are led by Alexandra Pafko and Chelsey Permenter who each have scored three goals and added two assists for eight points. Elizabeth Kelly has a 0.80 goal against average and a .892 saves percentage.
