Golden Eagle Softball Signs Krystal Plouff (Forest Lake, Minn.) to a National Letter of Intent

KrystalPlouff.jpg(Crookston, Minn.)- University of Minnesota, Crookston head women's softball coach Mitch Bakken announced today the signing of Krystal Plouff from Forest Lake, Minn. to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles during the 2009-10 season.
 
Plouff is a 5-2, outfielder from Forest Lake High School in the Suburban East Conference. Plouff hit the game winning homerun in the bottom of the seventh inning in the 2008 Class AAA Minnesota State Tournament consolation game and earned State AAA All-Tournament team honors for her performance. She attended North Dakota State University (NDSU) last year.
 
"Krystal has a great swing and can hit for power which is a welcomed addition to the Golden Eagle lineup," says head coach Mitch Bakken. "Defensively, she has a great arm and will be competing for a starting position in left or center field. I look forward to coaching Krystal and watching her develop and improve as a member of the Golden Eagle Softball team."
 
Plouff plans to major in health sciences at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. She is the daughter of Charlie and Lisa Plouff.
