(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Teambackers held their annual Heart of the Valley Golf Tournament at the Heart of the Valley Golf Course in Ada, Minn., on Thursday, July 9, 2009. Over 80 golfers participated (60 in 2008), raising an excess of $3,000 for athletic scholarships at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. The winning team was The Forum team consisting of Jason Miller, Kyle Newman, Jeremy Anderson, Cody Wittrock and Ty Newman. They won in a tie breaker with a score of -17 over the Kappes Hauling team. The Ada Area Promotions Committee/Coldwell Banker First Realty-Encore team finished in third place.
