Golden Eagle Women's Soccer Team Hits the Road in Search of First Victory

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Soccer team hits the road Friday, September 4 and Saturday, September 5 in search of their first victory of the 2009 season. The Golden Eagles will play a pair of non-conference tilts at the Dordt/Northwestern Pizza Ranch Classic facing Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa on Friday and Northwestern College of Iowa in Orange City, Iowa on Saturday. Matches get underway at 2 p.m. and 11 a.m. respectively.

U of M, Crookston holds an overall record of 0-0-1 after a 1-1 tie at Jamestown College on Tuesday. Stephanie Lee (Jr, Def, Scarsdale, N.Y.) scored for the Golden Eagles while Megan Flynn (Fr, Def, Chanhassen, Minn.) added an assist. Anna Ogaard (Jr, GK, Maple Grove, Minn.) recorded seven saves.

Golden Eagles @ Dordt College   Friday, September 4    2 p.m.

The Defenders have an overall record of 1-0-0 after defeating Waldorf College 7-1 on August 29. They are led by Kate Du Mez who has four goals for eight points and Lindsay Baker who has two goals for four points. Steph Goslinga has a 1-0-0 record in net with a 1.29 goals against average and a .667 saves percentage.

Golden Eagles @ Northwestern College  Saturday, September 5   11 a.m.

The Raiders hold an overall record of 0-1-0 after dropping a 2-0 decision to St. Mary's on August 31. No other information was available at release time.
