(Crookston, Minn.)- Montana State University - Billings opened up a 3-0 lead at the half and added another goal in the second half on their way to a 4-0 non-conference victory over the University of Minnesota, Crookston today in Bismarck, N.D.
The Yellowjackets got on the board at 6:33 of the game when Kari Foreman scored off an assist from Chelsea Libby to make the score 1-0. Montana State University - Billings struck again at 14:44 when Carly Valentine scored off Libby's second assist of the game. Kristen Kastelic closed out the first half scoring at 34:99 off assists from Lauren Anderson and Courtney Harvey. Jennifer Larsen got into the act at 51:46 when off assists from Libby and Valentine to make the final score 4-0.
Montana State University - Billings improves to 3-2-1 overall while the University of Minnesota, Crookston falls to 2-3-1 overall.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20 when they open Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) action on the road against Winona State University and Upper Iowa University respectively. Both matches will start at 1 p.m.
