Golden Eagles Women's Soccer Team Returns Home for Pair of NSIC Matches

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Soccer team returns to Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) action at home on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11 when they play host to Northern State University and the University of Mary respectively. Both matches begin at 1 p.m. at the UMC Soccer Field.

The Golden Eagles hold an overall record of 2-9-1 and NSIC record of 0-6-0 after dropping a pair of games this past weekend. Concordia University - St. Paul defeated U of M, Crookston 2-1 on Friday while St. Cloud State defeated the Golden Eagles 5-0 on Sunday.

U of M, Crookston is led by Justine Jones (Sr, Fwd, Richland, Wash.) who has scored four goals for eight points. Megan Gibeault (Jr, Fwd, Green Bay, Wis.) and Megan Flynn (Fr, Def, Chanhassen, Minn.) have each scored one goal and added two assists for four points. Anna Ogaard (Jr, GK, Maple Grove, Minn.) has a 2.54 goals against average and a .759 saves percentage.

Golden Eagles vs. Northern State University  Saturday, October 10  1 p.m.

Northern State University holds an overall record of 4-4-4 and NSIC record of 2-1-2 after settling for a 0-0 tie with Minnesota State University, Mankato on Friday and defeating Southwest Minnesota State University 1-0 on Sunday. The Wolves are led by Maggie Fedor who has scored four goals for eight points and Kaylee McDonald who has scored three goals and added one assist for seven points. Dee Wood has a 0.91 goals against average and a .838 saves percentage.

Golden Eagles vs. the University of Mary   Sunday, October 11  1 p.m.

The University of Mary has an overall record of 5-5-2 and NSIC record of 3-1-1 after defeating Southwest Minnesota State University 1-0 on Friday and losing 2-0 to Minnesota State University, Mankato on Sunday. The Marauders are led by Megan Wilson who has scored four goals and added one assist for nine points. Megan Helrung has scored three goals and added one assist for seven points. Carly Feiler has a 0.94 goals against average and a .757 saves percentage.
