Alexandra Skeeter (Milwaukee, Wis.) Signs National Letter of Intent with Golden Eagle Volleyball

Skeeter.JPG(Crookston, Minn.)- University of Minnesota, Crookston head women's volleyball coach Lee Anderson announced today the signing of Alexandra (Alex) Skeeter to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles in 2010.

Skeeter is a 5-9 outside hitter from Rufus King High School. She was named the Best Offensive Player and team MVP for the Generals in 2008. She was recognized as an All-Conference 1st Team member following her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Skeeter was named a Most Improved player on her Milwaukee Sting volleyball club team in 2007. She was a member of the 17-club silver division Junior Volleyball Directors Association (JVDA) champion team and was a 16-club JDVA National Champion. Skeeter is a stellar track athlete. She earned recognition as the Most Improved Rufus King track athlete and was the Best Female Jumper in the long and high jump in 2008.

"We are ecstatic that Alex has decided to become a part of the Golden Eagle Volleyball family.  She is an outstanding person and a phenomenal two-sport athlete," says Coach Anderson. "She is dynamic, electric jumper who has a very high ceiling. These attributes are key to her becoming a top level volleyball player in our program."

Skeeter plans to major in health sciences at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. She is the daughter of Rebecca Skeeter.
