(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Basketball team will open Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) play this weekend. The Golden Eagles will travel to the University of Minnesota Duluth and Bemidji State University on Friday, December 4 and Saturday, December 5 respectively. Both games will tip-off at 8 p.m.
The Golden Eagles are 3-1 on the season after going 1-1 at the NSIC Holiday Hoopsfest in Sioux Falls, S.D. U of M, Crookston dropped a 95-61 game to Winona State University but rebounded with a big 80-73 win over Northern State University the next day.
The Golden Eagles are led by Damarius Cruz (Fr, G, Plymouth, Minn.) who is averaging 20.8 points per game. Akeem Cubie (Jr, G, Minneapolis, Minn.) is averaging 18.5 points and ten rebounds per game. Matthew Heier (Sr, G, Ray, N.D.) is averaging 10.3 points per game.

The Bulldogs have an overall record of 2-4 after going 0-2 at the Southern Indiana Holiday Classic. Ryan Rasmussen is averaging 14.8 points per game.
Golden Eagles @ Bemidji State University Saturday, December 5 8 p.m.
The Beavers have an overall record of 3-2 after going 1-1 at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Tournament. Seth Haake is averaging 12.4 points and four rebounds per game.
