(Crookston, Minn.)- The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) announced today that two Golden Eagle soccer players earned All-Conference recognition following the 2009 season. Justine Jones (F, 5-3, SR, Richland, Wash.) earned NSIC Third Team Honors while Anna Ogaard (GK, 5-8, JR, Maple Grove, Minn.) earned Honorable Mention Honors.
Jones started all 19 games of the 2009 season. She took a team-high 54 shots and scored a team high four goals for eight points. Jones is majoring in hotel, restaurant and institutional management at U of M, Crookston. She is the daughter of Rick Jones and Robin Rose of Richland, Wash.
Ogaard started in 17 games and played in 18 this season. She tallied 137 saves in 1,508 minutes played and earned a solid 2.45 goals against average. Ogaard is majoring in applied studies with an associate of arts degree in dietetics. She is the daughter of Louise Ogaard of Maple Grove, Minn.
