Golden Eagles Men's Basketball Team Looks to Break Into NSIC Win Column at Home This Weekend

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Basketball team looks to gain their first Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) victory of the season when they play host to Concordia University-St. Paul on Friday, December 11 and St. Cloud State University on Saturday, December 12. Friday's game will start at 8 p.m. while Saturday's will start at 6 p.m. at Lysaker Gymnasium. Friday's contest will also be Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night and Teambacker Night.

The Golden Eagles hold an overall record of 3-3 and NSIC record of 0-2 after dropping a 71-68 decision at the University of Minnesota Duluth last Friday and an 89-72 contest at Bemidji State University last Friday.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is led by Damarius Cruz (Fr, G, Plymouth, Minn.) who is averaging 20.3 points per game. Akeem Cubie (Jr, G, Minneapolis, Minn.) is averaging 18.2 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.

Golden Eagles vs. Concordia University-St. Paul Friday, December 11  8 p.m.

The Golden Bears have an overall record of 2-4 and NSIC record of 0-2 after dropping a 64-40 decision to Upper Iowa University and an 86-80 decision to Winona State University this past weekend. Concordia University-St. Paul is led by Craig Heiman who is averaging16.7 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.

Golden Eagles vs. St. Cloud State University  Saturday, December 12 6 p.m.

The Huskies have an overall record of 4-2 and NSIC record of 1-1 after dropping a 77-72 game to Winona State University and defeating Upper Iowa University by a score of 80-65 this past weekend. St. Cloud State University is led by Taylor Witt who is averaging 20.2 points per game and Matt Schneck who is averaging16.5 points and 13 rebounds per game.
